Team
Todd Cater has 20 years of transaction experience in renewables and power generation and most recently co-led the Greenfield development team at Birch Creek Energy. Todd was previously head of M&A for Cypress Creek Renewables, the second largest utility-scale developer in the US and has served as VP of North America M&A for SunEdison, leading solar and wind acquisitions in the US. Todd holds an M.B.A. from the Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania.
Tim Dertzbaugh has 13 years of development experience in renewables and power generation and most recently co-led the Greenfield development team at Birch Creek Energy. Tim was previously the PJM Market Lead for Cypress Creek Renewables where he led market strategy and offtake contracting. Tim held prior roles at SunEdison, the AES Corporation, and Xcel Energy. Tim holds an M.B.A. from the Fuqua School, Duke University.
Michael Whalen has 10 years of development experience in renewables and power generation. He was most recently the Vice President of Greenfield Development at Birch Creek Energy and has held previous development and consulting roles at Cypress Creek Renewables, Direct Energy, and TRC Companies. Michael has originated, negotiated and executed 250+ site control agreements for energy assets, on more than 10,000 acres of land in 7 states.
